Apple Is Offering More Cash For iPhone Trade-Ins Next Week
If you’re thinking about upgrading to the iPhone 15, next week might be the time to do it.
Apple retail stores reportedly will be offering a little more cash for iPhone trade-ins starting May 20th through June 3rd. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, that cash bump will only be if you plan on trading that phone in for the iPhone 15.
Gurman didn’t specify exactly what that price bump would be, so your milage may vary. Currently the most Apple pays for a trade-in is $630 for the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Of course, if you’re looking to upgrade you may want to wait until the end of the summer when we expect to see the iPhone 16.
Current rumors point to the iPhone 16 running on next-generation A18 chips from Apple and having a new tetra prism zoom lens. That said, the update isn’t expected to be a huge change from the iPhone 15, so if you’ve been struggling your way through using a phone with broken screen or other issues, you’re probably not missing out on much by opting for the iPhone 15 now rather than the iPhone.
The iPhone 16 release later this year will coincide with the release of iOS 18, which is expected to bring a number of AI features to the iPhone.
