"C'est un monstre": l'acteur Robert De Niro tacle à nouveau Donald Trump

Interrogé dans l’émission The 11th Hour sur MSNBC, le comédien a qualifié l’ancien président de “malade” et de “monstre” et estime que sa réélection serait “dangereuse” pour les États-Unis.

Opposant notoire à Donald Trump depuis plusieurs années, Robert De Niro s’en est à nouveau pris à l’ancien président américain en interview. Interrogé dans l’émission The 11th Hour sur MSNBC, le comédien a qualifié le candidat républicain de “malade” et de “monstre”.

“C’est un véritable malade. J’en ai assez de le traiter de tous les noms. Il ne doit tout simplement pas s’approcher du bureau de la présidence. (…) Ce type est un monstre”, a-t-il déclaré.

“Je ne pense pas que les Américains comprennent à quel point il sera dangereux si jamais, à Dieu ne plaise, il redevient président. (…) Il ressemble à un clown. Il agit comme un clown. Et d’une manière ou d’une autre, des gens s’identifient à eux”, poursuit le comédien.

“Ce mec est stupide”

Robert De Niro a souvent critiqué Donald Trump sans ménagement. En 2023, l’acteur avait ainsi comparé l’ancien président à son rôle dans Killers of the Flower Moon, un homme d’affaires avide de pétrole qui fomente des meurtres d’Amérindiens pour spolier leurs revenus.

“C’est la banalité du mal, la chose à laquelle nous devons faire attention. Nous le constatons aujourd’hui… C’est comme avec Trump. Il y a des gens qui pensent qu’il peut encore faire un bon boulot. Imaginez à quel point c’est fou. (…) Ce mec est stupide”, avait-il déclaré lors d’une conférence de presse au Festival de Cannes.

Lors de cette nouvelle interview, Robert De Niro a également assuré qu’il ne jouerait jamais de carrière le rôle de Donald Trump à l’écran. “Il n’y pas une seule chose positive en lui que je puisse voir, jamais, jamais”, a-t-il justifié.

L’acteur américain a donc apporté son soutien à l’actuel président des États-Unis, Joe Biden, qui est selon lui “la bonne personne” à soutenir lors de la campagne présidentielle. “Il essaie de faire ce qu’il faut. (…) Nous n’avons pas le choix”, a-t-il conclu.
