Case of sour grapes, says Praful Patel
NAGPUR: Praful Patel was dismissive of the opposition’s allegations about his links with a Dawood aide, Iqbal Mirchi, on Friday and said that not much needs to be read into such statements. “It’s a case of sour grapes,” said Patel. “These are just allegations, completely baseless,” he added.
On deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis’s letter to deputy CM Ajit Pawar opposing the inclusion of Malik in the ruling alliance, Patel, who has sided with Ajit faction of NCP, said that they were in no hurry to reach any decision about Malik. He said the letter shouldn’t be interpreted by opposition to suit its purposes.
“Malik is on medical bail and so, his health is a priority. His coming to meet us is natural,” he said. Patel said where he sits in the assembly was not an issue, adding that they had not spoken to Malik about his political views.
