Canadian rail workers at Canadian Pacific, Canadian National vote to strike

Canadian railroad workers at Canadian National Railway (NYSE:CNI) and Canadian Pacific Kansas City Limited (NYSE:CP) have voted overwhelmingly to strike as early as May 22, according to a statement from the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference, the union representing workers.
The current contract with engineers, conductors, and yard workers at both railroads expired December 31, 2023, and despite six months of negotiations, an agreement on a new contract has not been reached, according to Reuters.
