The Federalist Culture Editor Emily Jashinsky says polls are indicating that Democrats are “starting to take a second look” at Donald Trump and are “less enthusiastic” about another Joe Biden term.
A Monmouth University poll conducted in early February showed only 32 per cent of registered voters feel somewhat enthusiastic about Joe Biden’s candidacy – a number which stands at just 62 per cent among Democrats.
Democrats ‘starting to take a second look’ at Donald Trump
“I’m not surprised by that at all,” Ms Jashinsky told Sky News Australia host Gabriella Power.
“It’s not just that Democrats are less enthusiastic about Joe Biden, it’s actually that some people are starting to take a second look … that’s how bad Joe Biden is for the Democratic Party.
“It’s one thing to have an enthusiasm gap – that’s bad enough on its own – but what it looks like is some of that is translating to Donald Trump.”
