Caleb Williams had his measurements taken at the NFL Combine this Saturday.
For starters, Williams is listed at just over 6-foot-1. His height shouldn’t be an issue considering he can easily escape from pockets that break down.
Every year, NFL fans usually keep a close eye on each top quarterback prospect’s hand size. Fortunately for Williams, he won’t have to hear any chatter about him having small hands.
Williams’ hand size reportedly measured in at 9 3/4 inches. That would put him in the same class as Jalen Hurts, Mac Jones and Daniel Jones.
Here are the official measurements, via NFL insider Charles Robinson:
- Height: 6-1 1/8
- Weight: 214
- Arm: 32
- Hand: 9.75
- Wingspan: 75.88
Unfortunately, Williams won’t be participating in the drills at the NFL Combine. He was actually asked by a reporter on Friday if he’s “afraid to compete.” The question could’ve been phrased in a more professional manner.
“No,” Williams replied. “Not doing things was a decision by me, my team and my family. And it comes down to that.”
At the end of the day, Williams is widely regarded as the best prospect in this year’s class. If he wants to wait until his pro day to throw in front of scouts, it won’t damage his stock.
Do you think Williams will be the No. 1 pick in this year’s draft?
