Bulldogs coach defends under-fire trainer
Probably just read the room and see how the boys are, but I’m I’m very confident I might be a distraction. Everyone’s in a really. Replace We’re happy with a lot of parts of the way we started the season, so I’ve enjoyed the week off, enjoyed the buy and ready to get in on this week. You got to address it at all with the boys. No, I haven’t actually. No one’s asking about it and they’re all fine. Traps good. Yeah, he’s he’s getting about his normal business. It’s unfortunate his name has been brought into it through media, but you know it is what it is and what we can’t control is reputations, but we can control our character and traps of the highest character of possibly. Anyone I’ve ever met, he’s, he cares about people he works with. There’s a family man. He lives a very clean life. And yeah, he’s he’s a guy we’re really lucky to have at the club and our players are really lucky to have him to. He’s been quite a number of people that have gone on the record talking about that, talking about traps, character. And I think even Lucy said yesterday in his retirement video that he wouldn’t be the player that he is if it wasn’t for travel. Is that the kind of thing that Travis is bringing to the board? Yeah, I can. I can see a number of players would have said that about Travis over the years and he’s helped develop better players and better people and that’s why we wanted to bring him to the Bulldogs. He fits what we’re trying to do here and it’s not an easy job. Bringing change to a cloud and Travis being a guy that’s really helped me in that regard and I know every decision he’s made has been in the best interest of the club and that’s something we want to do here. We put the club first before ourselves and Trevor’s been a big driver of change within our culture and our team and I’m glad he’s here with us.
