BTS’ label Big Hit apologizes to fans after reports of neglect

HYBE subsidiary Big Hit Music released an update on the legal suit against the violation of BTS’ artist rights, as they apologized to the fans for the stress given that the K-pop boy group became collateral damage over the internal feud within the management.

Big Hit Music said in their statement that they will persist in taking legal action against the malicious comments directed at BTS and their alleged association with the pseudoscience group Dahnworld or any religious cults.

“We wish to update you on the status of legal measures taken to protect BTS members against violations of their rights. We would like to clarify that the recent allegations of hoarding, concept plagiarism, and affiliations with Dahnworld or any religious cults are completely false,” began the statement.

“The company has decided that the recent movement spreading false rumors and information has become excessive and announced previously that a separate law firm would be engaged to address these matters decisively,” it continued.

The record label then addressed the false remarks and malicious statements being directed at BTS, affirming that they will not tolerate such acts of tarnishing their artist’s reputation.

“We have identified and compiled several posts containing misinformation aimed at defaming and slandering the artists and filed the initial round of criminal complaints with law enforcement agencies today, on May 2. This compilation includes posts that were systematically uploaded and then deleted, as well as posts from authors who have since deleted their accounts. We will persist in our legal proceedings through continuous monitoring and gathering of evidence,” they assured.

“We uphold a zero-tolerance policy for filing civic and criminal complaints against individuals who attempt to tarnish the reputation of our artists by spreading malicious falsehoods. We will offer no leniency or settlements, ensuring that offenders are appropriately punished without exception.” the label further stated.

Big Hit Music then extended their deepest apologies to the fans of BTS for the distress and thanked them for their unwavering love and support for the boy group, as they assured them that they would continue pursuing the necessary legal steps to protect their artist.

Meanwhile, BTS’ fandom, ARMY, previously featured their protest in a full-page advertisement in major newspapers and held a protest in front of Hype’s headquarters in Seoul to show support and call for respect towards BTS.
