The Boston Bruins picked up a massive 4-3 win against the Florida Panthers last night. After being down 3-2 with less than five minutes left in the third period, Trent Frederic and Pavel Zacha each scored to lead the Bruins to a much-needed victory.
Goaltender Jeremy Swayman played a solid part in the Bruins’ victory, saving 18 out of 21 shots against the Panthers. However, besides getting a win for his efforts, he also reached a notable milestone in the contest.

Swayman, 25, contributed to the scoresheet for the Bruins, recording his first career assist on Frederic’s game-tying goal. It took the star goaltender 128 games to hit this feat.
Following the game, Swayman had this to say about recording his first career NHL point: “I didn’t know… I just heard it on the loudspeaker. I was excited… pretty cool… more excited about the two points tonight, though.”
This is a pretty cool achievement for Swayman. Next up on the agenda for the 2017 fourth-round pick is to score a goal like fellow Bruins netminder Linus Ullmark.
