Blues injury list grows ahead of hard month

Carlton captain Patrick Creeps is adamant his side can continue its strong start to the season despite a horror run with injuries. The Blues face a pretty tough month in the next month with four of their next five matches against top eight sides from last year. Trent Nice reports. On the money to start season 2024 and while the last start was a toss of the coin A2 point loss to Adelaide, it still hurts four days on. We definitely butchered it for sure but you know there’s probably a few games this year too. We’ve probably you know clawed our way back and and scraped over the line So yeah it’s it’s one we probably felt like you know we’re in a position to win the game. Patrick Crips and Monique Conti on hand today to launch Australia post new collectible coins although it might be Defenders who Carlton accounting. The club’s injury list now includes Adam Saad and Mitch McGovern. We talk about next man up in a squad mentality. So that’s sort of the the the theory we’re going after and we’ve got a lot of guys that can fill roles. It’s not just against the Giants on Saturday where the Blues will be tested in a challenging month ahead. The side faces Geelong, Collingwood, Melbourne and Sydney. But it’s these sort of games where Carlton feel most comfortable. Yeah, I would say how difficult I’d say we we embrace it. We we love playing against the best team. So as a competitor these these are the stretches you want. Charlie Cameron is free to play against Geelong this weekend after his one match ban was overturned. The AFL says it won’t appeal the decision, but it could review whether character references will have any impact on judgments into the future. I think that would be one of the things that we would look at towards the end of the year. Trent, nice news.
