Bafana Bafana have finally left South Africa for Ivory Coast. AFCON 2023 is here.
MOTHOBI MVALA TRAVELS WITH BAFANA BAFANA
Despite a confirmed groin injury, Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has confirmed that Sundowns’ 29-year-old central defender has traveled with the team.
Broos told media that the team’s medical team have assured him Mvala will be available to face Mali on January 16.
“As far as Mothobi is concerned we did investigations which came back satisfactory. We’re quite hopeful, optimistic that we will get Mothobi ready to participate for our first game on Tuesday,” said Dr Tshepo Molobi via SABC.
“He has gone to do PRP laser treatments for the injury that he sustained and bear in mind that this was more precautionary than anything.
“So, I think at this point we will continue treating him and come the weekend, Friday, Saturday, then we will make a final decision after our final fitness test,” Molobi added.
