The Alabama Crimson Tide once again put together an impressive recruiting class in 2024, which ranked No. 2 nationally, according to On3. But after Nick Saban announced his retirement, multiple signees made the decision to enter the NCAA transfer portal.
One of those players was four-star defensive back Peyton Woodyard, who signed with the Crimson Tide in December. Woodyard was the No. 128 overall prospect and No. 7 safety in the class of 2024.
After entering the NCAA transfer portal, Woodyard was ranked as the No. 10 safety in the portal. He will have four years of eligibility remaining for the Ducks.
Oregon’s transfer portal class ranks No. 4 nationally, according to On3. The Ducks have landed 13 transfers, headlined by Woodyard and Michigan State defensive lineman Derrick Harmon. Washington cornerback Jabbar Muhammad and Duke cornerback Brandon Johnson will also join the Ducks next season.
Oregon will open the 2024 season against Idaho on Aug. 31 at Autzen Stadium.
