Sky News host Danica De Giorgio says the full scale of just how exposed Australia is has been laid bare.
She said new information about how almost 40 asylum seekers managed to evade detection last week should “send alarm bells ringing”.
Concerns are being held over how many boats have reached Australian shores after two groups of asylum seekers were found in Western Australia within hours of each other.
‘Should send alarm bells ringing’: Full scale of ‘just how exposed’ Australia is laid bare
On Friday, it was reported a group of about 30 asylum seekers from Pakistan and Bangladesh arrived in the remote community of Beagle Bay, about 100km north of Broome.
On Monday, it was revealed that Border Force knew of the asylum seekers’ arrival before it was made public.
In The Australian, it was revealed that a second group of asylum seekers turned up at a remote outstation north of Beagle Bay.
Ms De Giorgio called on the Prime Minister to “stop playing politics and take some action”.
