Boyzone’s Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy watched Chorley FC lose 2-1 at home against Solihull Moors on Saturday, amid reports that the boyband intends to buy the club.
Shane, 47, and Keith, 49, who proudly sported the team’s shirt, attended the match with Westlife’s Brian McFadden.
After the match, all three men were interviewed and seemed in high spirits despite the unfortunate loss.
Rumours began circling that Boyzone intended to buy the club this week, and Shane and Keith’s visit on Saturday was reportedly to seal the deal.
Of the purchase, a Chorley FC insider said: ‘It’s a really exciting move for Chorley FC.’

The Irish group formed in 1993 and officially split in 2000, but have had numerous reunions since.
Originally a five-piece, member Stephen Gateley died in 2009 from complications of a congenital heart defect he didn’t know he had.
As well as buying the club, Boyzone are reportedly preparing to perform a string of shows around the country.
In 2018, Boyzone said they were splitting for good after releasing one final album dedicated to late bandmate Stephen Gately.
The band vowed that they would call it quits after their 25th anniversary tour and album that year.

Shane reached out an arm to talk with a Chorley fan who looked pleased as punch, while Brian looked on
Keith entered the scene looking dashing in a peaked cap and shades and a large padded jacket over a black shirt and turtleneck
On the grounds, Keith changed into a Chorley shirt and smiled proudly has he headed inside, his hands in his pockets
At the stadium, Shane happily posed for selfies with fans, the first one holding her phone high in the air
A second fan opted to hold his phone at chest-level, and in landscape, while a smiling Shane did a thumbs up

Boyzone was formed by Louis Walsh, who also created Westlife, and he managed Ronan Keating when he went solo.
Louis, 71, was also part of the original judging line-up of The X Factor alongside Sharon Osbourne and Simon Cowell.
Boyzone have had six UK number one singles and of the 24 singles they released in the UK, 21 entered the top 40.
They have also had five UK number-one albums.
