Barbara Corcoran has revealed the secret to a long-lasting and ‘fun’ marriage is sleeping in separate bedrooms.

The 75-year-old multimillionaire, who currently has a reported net worth of roughly $100 million, is known for her money-making business deals that she makes on Shark Tank.

Barbara, who has previously insisted that the best way to save money is to spend it,  frequently shares advice on how to use inflation and the soaring housing market rates to your advantage – adding that it’s always the right time to buy a house.

However, the real estate mogul has now traded her home tips for love advice as she has lifted the lid on how she and husband Bill Higgins, whom she has been married to since 1988, keep the spark alive.

In an episode of the Today Show with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager, Barbara gave fans an inside look at her marriage.

She revealed that the key to her ‘fun’ relationship was sleeping in ‘separate bedrooms.’

‘I’ve had a separate bedroom with Bill for like 40 years. I have to invite him in — he invites me in occasionally,’ she spilled on the show.

And she noted that although some may not agree with their sleeping arrangements, it made their relationship more ‘sexy.’

The 75-year-old added that she first thought of the idea to sleep in a different room because of how messy Bill was.

She explained: ‘He puts piles of stuff everywhere and I am very neat so I couldn’t sleep well at night.

‘Now, I sleep like a baby. ‘

In addition to their unique sleeping arrangements, the couple has some other nonconventional patterns.

Barbara revealed that she was the one to propose to her hubby in the ’80s.

She said: ‘I wanted to get a husband so I said, “What the heck!”‘

Barbara met her hubby – who is a former FBI agent – in 1981 at a business conference.

In 2018, Bill told Yahoo News that he had ‘business intentions only’ with Barbara.

However, the real estate mogul fell in love with his ‘million-dollar smile.’

The couple dated for seven years before tying the knot in a intimate wedding ceremony, which they ‘almost missed.’

Barbara recalled the crazy day in an Instagram post.

She said: ‘Bill and I were in the woods cross-country skiing and got lost, we didn’t expect to hit traffic coming back even though we always hit traffic coming back, and my mom, dad and the minister were about to call it a day when we finally got there. We were married five minutes later.’

She added: ‘Marriage is awfully tough for some of us and we should get a medal for running the race.

She has two children — an adult son, Tom Higgins, and a teenage daughter, Kate Higgins — with husband Bill, a retired Navy captain and FBI agent

‘I know I have a good man, a great father, and a guy that totally drives me absolutely nuts every day of my life. I’m sure I drive him just as crazy.’

The multimillionaire owns a $15 million penthouse in New York City, but she has admitted that she prefers to live in a nearly $1 million mobile home located in a luxurious trailer park in Los Angeles.

Barbara grew up in a working-class family in Edgewater, New Jersey, and went on to form her own real estate brokerage firm, The Corcoran Group, which she sold for $66 million in 2001.

She has two children — an adult son, Tom Higgins, and a teenage daughter, Kate Higgins — with husband Bill, a retired Navy captain and FBI agent.

As an investor on Shark Tank, ABC’s four-time Emmy award-winning show, she has invested in more than 80 businesses to date.
