If you want a unique playthrough of Baldur’s Gate 3, these party set-ups will do the trick.
Therefore, players who are looking for the most overpowered weapons should look no further than these options that not only hit hard but come with abilities that make them perfect for any player that is looking to break Badur’s Gate 3 through the various combat they encounter.
Phalar Aluve
A Powerful Buffing Sword
Phalar Aluve is an incredibly broken weapon that players can earn early into their playthrough of Baldur’s Gate 3. Not only is its base damage incredibly similar to the legendary weapon known as the Balduran’s Giantslayer, but the overpowered nature of it is seen through the potential the sword has to buff all of its surrounding allies.
When using the action of Sing, the player and their allies gain a bonus to their attack rolls. This allows players to quickly deal with the enemies that surround them. This buff is so powerful that many players continue to use the Phalar Aluve even into the endgame.
Punch-Drunk Bastard
Powerful Hits And Blasts
Players may be surprised to see that the Bunch-Drunk Bastard greatclub is one of the most overpowered melee weapons in the game, especially for players that have collected a lot of booze.
Players that wield this weapon while drunk have not only an advantage in their hits but also the potential to injure the surrounding foes, as when they hit a foe they also blast those around them with a thunder attack. Besides this, the club also has Tenacity which allows players to attempt to hit a foe again if they miss the first time, meaning a foe is always likely to get hit.
Nyrulna
Infinite Throwable Explosive
The legendary weapons in Baldur’s Gate 3 are not only some of the best weapons in the game, but also some of the most broken too. In Act 3, after revealing a genie’s cheating ways, a player has the chance of finding the legendary trident, Nyrulna, sitting in a locked chest. When thrown, this trident will return to the player’s hand, but that isn’t what makes it so broken.

Baldur’s Gate 3: Best Illithid Powers, Ranked
At the start of Baldur’s Gate 3, players are infected by a parasite that can potentially grant them special powers.
Throwing this trident at a foe will not only do its usual damage but also hit an area surrounding where it landed for an additional amount of Thunder damage. This therefore allows players to have an infinite explosive on hand at all times.
Bloodthirst
A Dagger That Always Hits
Bloodthirst is one of the most overpowered daggers in the entirety of BG3. This weapon is great for players who have planned to duel-wield, as the dagger has different effects depending on whether it is held in the player’s main or offhand.
Players will likely want to use the Bloodthirst in their offhand, as this allows the lethal knife to cast True Strike on an enemy that is hit with it. Therefore, players can start with a hit from this dagger to then make sure their more powerful main hand weapon strikes true.
The Dancing Breeze
Lethal Surprise That Hits All
The Dancing Breeze has the potential to be incredibly broken when wielded by the right hand. This glaive has the potential to hit multiple foes at once with a spinning action known as Whirlwind Attack. Pairing up this attack with a class such as Assassin that increases the player’s critical hit chance means the Dancing Breeze has the potential to instantly kill multiple enemies at once as long as the unit crits.
The range of this weapon is also quite large, meaning the player is capable of affecting a large group as well as it also being capable of being used in sneak attacks for added damage.
Blood Of Lathander
One Of The Strongest Spells Early
Blood of Lathander is another early-game weapon that has the potential to stick with the player for the entirety of their playthrough. After uncovering the Blood of Lathander in Act 1, players will have access to the spell of Sunbeam early into their adventure.

From Gortash’s garbs to Isobel’s robes, players can’t go wrong with the following clothing items in Baldur’s Gate 3.
This ray of light is incredibly deadly and can easily defeat multiple foes in a line. Not to forget to mention, it also has the potential to blind undead foes making it harder for them to hit the unit that decides to wield this legendary mace.
Drakethroat Glaive
Additional Damage Without Needing To Concentrate
Players who have decided to take on the world of Baldur’s Gate 3 as a Dragonborn should quickly get their hands on the Drakethroat Glaive in Act 2, as it’s by far one of the most broken weapons for that race.
Not only does it increase the chance of the player’s Dragonborn breath attack hitting an enemy, but it also allows players to essentially have an element cast at all times on the weapon, without needing concentration. This is due to its Draconic Elemental Weapon ability to increase the glaive’s damage further.
Markoheshkir
Free Powerful Spells Without Using Spell Slots
Out of all the available weapons in Baldur’s Gate 3, by far the most overpowered of all is, surprisingly, a staff. The Markoheshkir staff is something players won’t have access to until the final act of the game, but with this weapon in hand, any wizard, sorcerer, or other magic caster is sure to be brutal on the battlefield.
With the power of the Arcane Battery, the player’s next spell cast won’t cost a spell slot. Therefore, a player could use one of their most deadly spells for free and still have the potential to use it again. Besides this, there are plenty more great abilities that make the staff deadly, such as further elemental damage.
