Batı Afrika’nın en küçük ülkesi Gambiya’nın başkenti Banjul, İslam İş Birliği Teşkilatı 15. Toplantısı’na ev sahipliği yapıyor. Toplantıya Türkiye’yi temsilen Dışişleri Bakanı Hakan Fidan katıldı. Bakan Fidan, zirvenin resmi açılışı öncesinde üye ülkelerin devlet ve hükümet başkanlarıyla birlikte aile fotoğrafında yer aldı. “Sürdürülebilir kalkınma için diyalog doluyla birlik ve dayanışmanın güçlendirilmesi” temasıyla gerçekleştirilen zirvede İsrail’in saldırılarını sürdürdüğü Gazze Şeridi’ndeki son durumun da görüşülmesi bekleniyor.

Bakan Fidan, toplantının yanı sıra ikili görüşmelerde de bulundu. İkili görüşmeleri çerçevesinde Gambiya Cumhurbaşkanı Adama Barrow tarafından kabul edilen Dışişleri Bakanı Fidan, Azerbaycan Dışişleri Bakanı Ceyhun Bayramov ve Somali Başbakan Yardımcısı Salah Jama ile de görüştü. Gambiya’da Sudan Dışişleri Bakan Vekili Hüseyin Avad Ali Muhammed ile bir araya gelen Fidan, Gambiya’da faaliyet gösteren Türk şirketlerinin temsilcileriyle de buluştu.
