- Players can pre-purchase The War Within to secure physical items without hassle.
- The Epic Edition of The War Within offers digital goodies like a character boost, mounts, and early access to content.
World of Warcraft recently revealed the Collector’s Edition for The War Within, which includes a new art book, a pin, and a gorgeous gryphon rider statue. With its release coinciding with the 20-year anniversary of World of Warcraft, this physical premium edition would make an excellent addition to any fan’s collection.
Since it first came out, WoW and each of its expansions have had a physical Collector’s Edition. Pre-purchases for The War Within opened up simultaneously with the World of Warcraft expansion’s announcement at BlizzCon in November 2023, meaning players have been waiting for the reveal of the collector’s box for almost half a year.

The Epic Edition of The War Within contains a plethora of digital goodies as well. Fans who purchase it alone, or as a part of this new Collector’s Edition, get a level 70 Character Boost, 1000 Trader’s Tender, an Algarian Stormrider mount and matching transmog set, a pet, a toy, and a cosmetic hearthstone, plus 30 days of game time, beta and early access to WoW: The War Within, and the Dragonflight expansion if they don’t already have it.
The alpha for The War Within has also officially begun. Each week, World of Warcraft plans to focus test individual zones from The War Within, gradually inviting more players with every build. While it won’t guarantee access to the alpha, fans who pick up The War Within Collector’s Edition get a surefire spot in the beta, which should begin within the next few months.
