amazon, argos shoppers grab lg tvs at 'new price' that makes owning a big screen affordable

LG TV deal

Fancy a big TV in time for Euro 2024 and the Olympics? Argos might have just what you are looking for thanks to a great new deal on a massive LG model. Right now Argos shoppers are dashing to bag a 60-inch 4K model for a low price with the UK store selling LG’s 60UQ81006LB model for just £349. That’s over £100 cheaper than buying the same TV directly from LG – it’s also £300 less than the original retail price.

The deal is clearly proving popular with Argos confirming that it is “selling fast” and “in demand”. Along with the huge 4K screen, the 60UQ81006LB television also features a fast processor and a Game Optimiser mode which lets you easily tweak your settings for your preferred gaming setup.

For the ultimate movie night, there’s Filmmaker Mode which tweaks the settings to make sure the visuals match the film.

Like all of LG’s modern goggleboxes there’s full access to all the most popular streaming apps including Disney+, Netflix and Sky’s NOW platform.

Of course, watching shows via these services does cost extra but there are plenty of free things to watch as well.

That’s because this LG TV has Freeview Play built-in. That means you can watch live and on-demand content from the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 without paying a penny extra for the privilege. Other extras include built-in Wi-Fi, an internet browser plus there’s easy ways to find content, set timers and more using the Google Assistant and Amazon’s Alexa.

The only thing to note is that this deal features a 2022 TV which has since been replaced by the 2023 lineup and the very latest 2024 models.

These new screens get features such as a faster AI Processor and improved upscaling which makes standard content shine on the big OLED screens.

LG is also promising better picture quality thanks to Quantum Dot and NanoCell colour technologies. Some of its more expensive goggleboxes will also feature hyper-realistic colour reproduction which makes things look just as the film director wanted.
