Amitabh Bachchan on working with Rajinikanth: Greater joy
Actor Rajinikanth is sharing the screen space with the Bollywood Badshah Amitabh Bachchan nearly after 34 years. The two last worked together in ‘Hum’ and now they are shooting for their next film ‘Vettaiyan’. Directed by TJ Gnanavel, the film is said to hit the theatres in October this year. The makers of the film took to social media yesterday to share new photos from the film sets, featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth embracing each other. While the photos have created a great excitement within the fans, Amitabh Bachchan on May 3 in through his blog penned an experience on working with the superstar actor.
Starting his blog with an excerpt by praising the Mumbai’s sea link and Marine drive as he witnessed it on his way to the film sets, the actor then described his experience on working with Rajinikanth. He stated that working with Rajinikanth comes first than the beautiful view of Mumbai’s marine drive. His blog post read, “but the greater joy in being in the company of the Great Rajinikanth at work… no change in him at all… the same humble, simple, down to earth dynamic star… What a privilege and honour…”
Sharing the pictures of the two stars yesterday, the production house captioned it as “the Titans of Indian Cinema.” ‘Vettaiyan’ is said to be an entertaining social drama and the stellar cast of the film includes Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier among others. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The makers are yet to reveal the launch date of the teaser and trailer of the film.
On the work front, Rajinikanth after ‘Vettaiyan’ will start the shoot of his film ‘Coolie’ which is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
