Alcaldía venderá predio del hospital San Juan de Dios a la Nación

En una entrevista con Blu Radio, el alcalde Carlos Fernando Galán mencionó que los predios se venderán, pero antes se tienen que resolver los pleitos legales en los cuales está involucrada la construcción del hospital San Juan de Dios.

El hospital fue clausurado el 29 de septiembre de 2001 y actualmente se presenta conflictos laborales y de tradición sobre la propiedad.

En medio de un debate sobre el destino del predio del hospital San Juan de Dios en Bogotá, el alcalde Carlos Fernando Galán manifestó la necesidad de llegar a un acuerdo con el Gobierno Nacional para salvaguardar los intereses de ambas partes.

Durante una entrevista con la emisora Blu Radio, el alcalde reveló que se han mantenido conversaciones tanto con el Ministerio de Salud como con el presidente de la República, Gustavo Petro, respecto a la posible venta del predio.

Según Galán, antes de proceder con cualquier decisión, es imperativo resolver todos los aspectos legales relacionados con el predio. Actualmente, existe un contrato vigente y disputas legales pendientes que deben ser solucionadas para garantizar una transacción sin contratiempos.

Además, el alcalde hizo énfasis en la necesidad de poder proteger los intereses de la ciudad durante todo el proceso. Se espera que se logre un acuerdo entre las autoridades locales y nacionales para resolver los asuntos pendientes y proceder con la venta del predio.

La demanda que tiene el Distrito por el San Juan de Dios

Empiezan a conocerse los primeros problemas, tras el empeño del presidente Gustavo Petro de adquirir a nombre de la Nación los predios del complejo hospitalario San Juan de Dios. El constructor español Copasa, al que el exalcalde Enrique Peñalosa le adjudicó en 2019 la licitación para construir el nuevo hospital Santa Clara en los predios del mítico centro asistencial, llevará al Distrito a un tribunal de arbitramento, por incumplimiento de contrato.

Lo demanda tiene una pretensión clara: que condenen a la Alcaldía de Bogotá a pagarle $70.000 millones, a modo de indemnización, por el fracaso de la obra. El principal argumento del demandante es que le adjudicaron un contrato inviable y con serios problemas en la estructuración.

Si bien, la demanda fue anterior al decreto presidencial, que se expidió este miércoles, el desenlace estaba claro desde el año pasado, cuando el primer mandatario anunció que la Nación trabajaría por la recuperación de los edificios y evitar la demolición.

Vale recordar que los trabajos que les encomendaron, con un presupuesto cercano a los $500.000 millones, contemplaban la demolición de la Torre Central del complejo, pero el constructor debía tramitar por su cuenta, ante el Ministerio de Cultura, los permisos de intervención. No obstante, no lo pudo lograr en casi cuatro años.
