The United States of America will be able to quickly start delivering weapons to Ukraine after the relevant law is passed in Congress, states Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova.
“It can take a very short time from the moment of signing to the announcement and delivery,” the Ambassador said.
According to her, it could be days or weeks.
“The Pentagon, along with our Ministry of Defense, has been working daily on searching for weapons, and such packages are being prepared. It will be very fast,” the Ambassador added.
The US may approve aid to Ukraine
Since last fall, the US Congress has been unable to vote on a bill to allocate new aid to Ukraine.
However, recently, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, introduced a new bill that could be approved by Congress in the near future.
Politico reported that the Pentagon is already preparing for military deliveries to Ukraine and may soon provide Kyiv with air defense equipment and artillery.
