Fahadh Faasil’s last film Aavesham, is a certified hit at the box office, since it continues to win the audience even as it runs in theatres in its third week.
The action film, which released on April 11, has managed to impress audiences and break records. The film recently hit the Rs 150 crore mark.
Directed by Jithu Madhavan, the Malayalam film has minted Rs 81 crore net in India, within 27 days of its release.

On day 27, the film earned Rs 1.1 crore net, which had an occupancy of 23 percent.
According to film industry analysts, Aavesham has entered the prestigious Rs 150 Crore club. AB George a Twitter film analyst posted “#Aavesham in 150 crores club RANGA ANNA & TEAM ENTERED IN PRESTIGIOUS 150 CRORES club in just 26 days (by today) SUPER BLOCKBUSTER 4th Mollywood movie in 150 Crores Club.”
Other Mollywood films, which have done exceedingly well at the box office include Pulimurugan (2016), Lucifer (2019), 2018 Movie (2023), Premalu (2024), Manjummel Boys (2024), and Aadujeevitham (2024).
Aavesham on OTT
As per trade analysts, the film will release on May 9 on Amazon Prime. The tweet read “Aavesham the #FahadhFaasil blockbuster is slated to drop on #OTT on May 9, 2024 in @PrimeVideoIN! It is streaming exactly 28 days or 4 weeks after its theatrical release!
Aavesham, which is set in Bengaluru revolves around three youngsters – Aju, Bibin and Shanthan played by debutants – who plot a revenge on their seniors who bully them. They then take the help of a gangster named Ranga played by the smashing Fahadh Faasil. This changes the course of their lives.
Apart from Fahadh, the film stars Aju, Mithun Jai Shankar, Roshan Shanavas, Midhutty, and Sajin Gopu in supporting roles.
