A roundabout in a Derbyshire town is to be closed overnight for two weeks. The A61 roundabout near Tesco in Chesterfield will be shut from Monday, February 26, until March 8.
The closure will be in place from 7pm until 5am on weekday nights. The road closure is to allow for road resurfacing work on the A61.
Diversions will be in place, with suggested routes including the B6543, near Brimington, and the B6057 through the town centre. The A61 through Chesterfield connects North Derbyshire with Derby via the A38.
POLL: What’s the best thing to do in Derbyshire on a rainy day?
A Derbyshire County Council spokesperson added: “By working at night we hope to minimise the disruption we know this closure will cause, please accept our apologies if this will affect you.”
