Senior psychiatrist Dr Jillian Spencer reveals her hospital has become “increasingly hostile” towards her after she raised concerns about gender-affirmation therapies.
Dr Spencer was suspended from the Queensland Children’s Hospital for speaking out against these therapies.
“I don’t hold out much hope that the hospital will recognise that I haven’t done anything wrong,” she told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“Over the last couple of years, it’s been really disturbing to see how unwilling the hospital has been to acknowledge any of the concerns I’ve raised about the gender clinic’s model of care.

“They have become increasingly hostile towards me.
“I have a professional obligation to raise my concerns with the hospital when I see danger – so the hospital is continuing on with its ‘shoot the messenger’ strategy.”
