24-Hour Metro Manila Roadworks Set for Holy Week 2024
(SPOT.ph) Metro Manila is set to experience round-the-clock road work in several major areas during the upcoming Holy Week, as announced by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
The road works will start on Wednesday, March 27 at 11 p.m. until Monday, April 1 at 5 a.m. in Caloocan City, Manila, Quezon City, Mandaluyong City, Makati City, Pasay City, and Parañaque City.
With the city’s roads less congested for the religious observance, MMDA Acting Chairman Don Artes said the initiative seeks to speed up necessary repairs and reblocking efforts with minimal disruption to daily commutes.
“The clearance for the 24-hour road works aims to strike a balance between maintaining infrastructure and minimizing disruptions and inconvenience to motorists,” Artes said in a statement.
Motorists are advised to prepare for these works by planning alternative routes in advance.
