Raymond Ross and Ramon Perez were seen running into a wooded area around 9:15 p.m. Saturday, officials said.
BONHAM, Texas — Two inmates were still on the run Monday morning after escaping the Fannin County Jail on Saturday night, officials said.
Raymond Ross and Ramon Perez were seen running into a wooded area around 9:15 p.m. Saturday after escaping custody from the south annex of the county jail in Bonham, according to a release from the Fannin County Office of Emergency Management.
Ross and Perez were still wanted Monday morning, jail officials said.
The county jail annex they escaped from is located on County Road 4200 on the southeast side of Bonham, which is located about an hour and a half northeast of Dallas, officials said.
The Fannin County Office of Emergency Management said the inmates were wearing gray sweats when they were seen on video running southeast from the jail and into a wooded area Saturday night.
The county officials said Ross was in custody on charges of evading arrest, drug possession and a felon in possession of a gun. Perez was in custody on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child, according to the Office of Emergency Management.
Officials on Sunday did not believe that Ross and Perez were armed.
Anyone who sees Ross and Perez are asked to call the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office at 903-583-2143 or call 911.
More information about the case has not been released by county officials. As of Monday morning, no arrests have been announced.
