Orlando Pirates first team player heading for exit door

Orlando Pirates are reportedly adamant on off-loading a first team striker who struggled to make his mark at the club.

Foreign attacker Souaibou Marou is set to leave the club, one year after joining the Buccaneers.

Marou has made just ONE start for the club. In total, he’s made just seven appearances for the club featuring for a total of 123 minutes of action.

The 22-year-old Cameroonian international joined the Buccaneers with high expectations however his spell at the club has been nothing short of a disaster.

“Marou is leaving the team, there is no doubt about that. The guy is struggling to cope, even at training. He has been given the chance to show what he can do, but it’s juts not working out for him.” a source told Citizen.

“I’ve seen his videos before he came to the team, we all thought that he was going to be the next big foreign player in the league.”

“We have to give the supporters hope by producing better performance. It is simple,” – Jose Riveiro said as quoted by Sowetan.

“We are not finding the goal as easy as we would like and that’s a handicap. But I’m busy with the problems that we have to make sure that we solve them.

“If Orlando Pirates continue having all problems, then we are doing something wrong. I’m busy trying to help my players to win games and score more goals, but I’m not concerned.”
