Serial entrepreneur Ken Seiff has purchased a Miami-area condo for $24 million, according to people familiar with the deal.

The roughly 6,000-square-foot condo at the Surf Club Four Seasons in Surfside went on the market for $30 million in 2023, but was most recently asking $28 million, according to listing agent Jacqueline Feldman of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty.

The seller was the estate of the late Chicago philanthropist Marguerite Hark, who bought the condo for $22 million when the building was completed in 2017, according to property records. Hark died in 2022. Hark’s family couldn’t be reached for comment.

The five-bedroom condo sits on the ninth floor of the building’s south tower, Feldman said. It has floor-to-ceiling windows and large balconies with views of the Atlantic Ocean and Miami, she said. There is a media room, a great room and a living room with a wet bar.

Seiff couldn’t immediately be reached for comment. He founded the discount designer-brands retailer Bluefly and the golf apparel company Pivot Rules, and co-founded the office supplies company Poppin. He is now managing partner at two venture-capital firms specializing in blockchain and e-commerce, according to his LinkedIn profile.

In 2021, Seiff and his wife, Nikki Kule, the founder of an eponymous clothing line, bought a smaller condo in a neighboring building for $9 million, property records show. It is currently listed for sale, asking $15.9 million.

Hark’s grandfather, the wealthy Chicago industrialist Walter Beverly Pearson, was president of the Standard Screw Company in the early 1900s, according to the National Genealogical Society.

Condos in Surfside sold for an average of $2.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2023, down 28.9% from the same period last year, though the number of sales rose 11.8% during the same period, according to Douglas Elliman.

Seiff was represented by Miltiadis Kastanis and Pablo Alfaro of Douglas Elliman.
