A man who disappeared while swimming at a lake has been found dead after an extensive search.
The 25-year-old from Lancefield had gone swimming with a woman and two dogs at Lake Eppalock, a 90-minute drive north of Melbourne, at about 7:45pm on Wednesday night.
It’s understood the man started having difficulty swimming and vanished underwater.
The woman contacted police shortly after and an extensive search commenced for the man but was suspended later that night.
Search and Rescue divers took to the water again on Thursday morning where they sadly found the man’s body.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
