Zacoe’s carbon fibre widebody kit for the Ferrari SF90 is quite... something

Worried that your 986bhp Ferrari SF90 Stradale looks a little bit… plain? Didn’t get your name down for an SF90 XX? Not to worry, because the carbon specialists at Zacoe Performance have come up with a widebody kit that makes even the XX look tame.

In fact, Zacoe says outright that “Ferrari’s XX programme just met its match”. Not sure we’d go that far given Zacoe doesn’t actually offer any performance upgrades to the ‘standard’ SF90 Stradale, but the looks really are something else.

The kit was apparently inspired by two different fighter jets – Lockheed’s P-38 and F-35 – giving it instant cool points. Indeed, Zacoe calls the kit ‘Lightning’ after the two jets, and apparently it “seamlessly integrates numerous aircraft elements into its details, presented with their iconic openwork and dart-like designs”.

More specifically, the front end was inspired by the P-38 Lightning with a three-piece front splitter and large unpainted arches. There are new brake cooling vents on top of said arches, while the side skirt is constructed from a single piece of carbon and blends into the similarly large rear arch extensions.

The rear of its carbon kit is where the inspiration from the F-35 Lightning II comes in, with a “hollowed-out fighter jet wing element” above the air intake and the rear of the arch cutting away to show a little glimpse of the rear wheels when viewed from behind. The extended spoiler increases downforce though, just in case you’re worried about your hybrid hypercar actually taking off.
