Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz have swapped places in the latest ATP Rankings, while Hubert Hurkacz, Tommy Paul and Sebastian Korda have all reached landmarks.

Alcaraz had climbed to world No 2 following his triumph at the French Open earlier this month, with Djokovic having dropped from top spot to third after injury forced him to pull out of Roland Garros.

Djokovic was one of only three players in the current ATP top 20, along with Casper Ruud and Nicolas Jarry, who did not play last week, with the grass-court events at Queen’s Club and Halle taking centre stage.

Despite this, the Serbian has moved above Alcaraz into the world No 2 position after the Spaniard was upset by Jack Draper in the second round at the Queen’s Club Championships. Alcaraz dropped 450 points as he was the champion at the ATP 500 event in 2023.

Jannik Sinner has extended his lead at the top of the rankings after he defeated Hurkacz in the final at the Halle Open to claim his first grass-court title.

The 22-year-old Italian has increased his points total by 410 points to 9,890 with his victory at the ATP 500 tournament and he is now 1,530 points clear of Djokovic.

With his runner-up result in Halle, Hurkacz has climbed two places from ninth to seventh, which is the highest ranking position he has ever occupied.

Casper Ruud remains in eighth, while Alex de Minaur has fallen from seventh to ninth after losing in the opening round at Queen’s — having lost 255 points from his run to the final last year.

Tommy Paul has overtaken Taylor Fritz to become the American No 1 for the first time in his career following his triumph at Queen’s.

The 27-year-old American has replaced Fritz as the world No 12 after beating Lorenzo Musetti to win his third and biggest ATP title. This is a career-high ranking Paul first reached in October last year.

Sebastian Korda has jumped three spots from 23rd to his career-best ranking of 20th following his run to the semi-finals in London.

Alexander Bublik is the player Korda has replaced in the top 20, with the Kazakh dropping from 17th to 23rd after losing in the second round in Halle, having been the champion in 2023.
