Browns 2024 schedule superlatives: Most annoying, Fun, Scary and more opponents
The NFL schedule will be officially released on Wednesday but we could know quite a few games prior to the shows that are supposed to announce the details that night. We already found out the two teams that will open the season and have known about the two teams facing off in Brazil the next night.
So far, none of the releases have provided us information for the Cleveland Browns schedule but the possibility of playing in London is still on the table.
We have started our Browns schedule breakdown by looking at which opponents would make sense for primetime matchups. Now we want to have a little fun with a few superlatives about the teams that Cleveland will face next year.
Most Annoying
All of the AFC North belongs on this list but the Baltimore Ravens earn the spot. The Ravens have been good for a long time, seem to pull off games out of nowhere and play a brand of football on defense that is based on the officials not calling holds despite their DBs and LBs doing so on almost every play.
Also, the city stole our team years ago so they will always be annoying.
Most Fun
Let's be honest, the fun games are the wins but looking at the list of opponents next year it should be really fun to see the Miami Dolphins offense take on the Browns defense. The Dolphins are creative and high flying which should give the Cleveland fanbase something to fret about but, on the field, the game itself should be enjoyable.
Scariest
This one is easy, the Browns have to play the two-time defending Super Bowl champs who got faster at receiver this offseason. The Kansas City Chiefs are the scariest team in the NFL by far and will be until Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid aren’t together.
Most Hyped Up
There are quite a few teams on the list that could be considered “hyped up” but the Dallas Cowboys win that race going away. Whether they are good or not, national media will hype up the Cowboys as if they are Super Bowl contenders.
Most Annoying Fanbase
I will admit a bias here: I grew up in Sandusky but went to school in Dayton. When I got down here (not aging myself with a year), the Cincinnati Bengals were not good and I didn’t see any team gear. Slowly, the team improved and all of a sudden Bengals fans were everywhere but wearing clearly new stuff. Rarely do you see vintage gear as you do with Cleveland fans who wear their stuff proudly despite all the losing.
Cincinnati fans, whom I’ve personally met, are the most annoying group. This one is very personal.
Weirdest
Thinking of the weirdest teams, a tie between the New Orleans Saints and Las Vegas Raiders actually makes sense. Both teams are good but not good enough. Neither is set at quarterback but have guys, Derek Carr and Gardner Minshew, that fans remember and think higher of than most analysts. Just no clue what to expect from either team.
It also helps that both teams have some weird going on in the stands with all the costumes/get-ups we see all the time from their fans.
Most Fun Road Trip
This one is a simple either or depending on the schedule:
- If the Jacksonville Jaguars game is in London, it wins and I’m hoping my wife and I will be able to go and I can cover practice and the games live for all of you
- Las Vegas is next on the list with New Orleans a close second
When you look at the list of Browns opponents this year, what superlatives would you give out?
