Colombian-Born, Trump-Supporting GOP Tells Black Americans To Leave US 'If You Don't Like America'

A Republican running for Missouri secretary of state is facing backlash over her comments about Juneteenth and Black Americans calling for reparations.

Valentina Gomez -- an immigrant from Colombia and supporter of Donald Trump -- posted a video message on X (formerly Twitter) Tuesday in which she called Black Americans "ungrateful" and told them to leave the United States if they "don't like" the country.

In the clip, the 25-year-old sported a shirt that read, "Don't be weak and gay," as she addressed her followers.

"Reparations from slavery and Black victimization is about to be shoved down our throats for the most ratchet holiday in America," Gomez said.

She went on to claim that Black Americans of today should stop seeking reparations since they have never experienced slavery themselves.

Gomez insisted that instead these "ungrateful people should be celebrating because they were born in the greatest nation to ever exist."

"Here's a tip -- If you don't like America, kindly, get the f**k out," Gomez concluded, before a photo of her sporting a tactical vest and holding an assault-style rifle flashed on-screen.

A number of X users immediately fired back at Gomez in the comments section of her now-viral video.

"Nobody cares what you think about Juneteenth," one critic commented.

"An immigrant from Colombia telling people whose ancestors have been here for 16 generations to 'get the f**k out' while cosplaying a military veteran. Go away, honey," another wrote.

A third commenter called out Gomez, writing: "It's always people who put Jesus and God in their bio spewing the most hate and supporting the devil. Crazy, ain't it?"

"Imagine a Columbian immigrant who is reaping the benefits of the accomplishments and sacrifices of Slaves, yet criticizing the very holiday made to celebrate their freedom!" another responded to her post.

However, some of Gomez's fellow Trump supporters praised her over her message, with one even calling her the "greatest politician in America."

"This is [fire emoji]!!!! Valentina Gomez is a National Treasure!!" one supporter commented.

"Victimhood is a specific demonic entity. It's for the weak. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. And Jesus will never give anything you can't handle," another wrote.

Despite the backlash, Gomez doubled down on her remarks in a statement to Newsweek.

"Straight White men built the roads we drive on, the buildings where we live, and the ones that fought and declared independence from the tyranny of the British for us to have freedom and the pursuit of happiness," Gomez said. "To anyone that does not like America, GTFO [get the f*** out]."

She added, "President Trump is the Greatest President of All Time, and I look forward to accepting his endorsement."

The Juneteenth holiday, which is celebrated every June 19, commemorates a significant date in Black American history. On June 19, 1865, enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, found out that they had been freed, according to the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

It was designated a federal holiday in 2021.
