Watch Lana Del Rey and Quavo Premiere Unreleased Collaboration ‘Tough' at Fenway Park

Lana Del Rey's headlining performance at Boston's Fenway Park on Thursday night was nearly cancelled when a heavy rain storm moved over the stadium. Instead of being rescheduled, the show was ultimately delayed to a 10:30 p.m. start time, which cut her allotted time on stage down from two hours to just under one hour. Making the most of the night, planned in celebration of her birthday, Del Rey surprised the audience with the debut live performance of "Tough," her unreleased collaboration with Quavo.

The Atlanta rapper joined the singer one stage for the second to last song on the setlist. Ahead of the show, the pair shared the a snippet of the record, which doesn't yet have a release date, on Instagram.

"Tough like the scuff on a pair of old leather boots/Like the blue-collar, red-dirt attitude/Like a .38 made out of brass/Tough like the stuff on your grandpa's glass," they narrate on the song's country-trap chorus. "Life's gonna do what it does/Sure as the good Lords up above/I'm cut like a diamond shinin' in the rough."

Earlier this year, Del Rey announced Lasso, her forthcoming country album, during an appearance at Billboard's pre-Grammy event in Los Angeles. "If you can't already tell by our award winners and our performers, the music business is going country," she told the crowd. "We're going country. It's happening. That's why Jack [Antonoff] has followed me to Muscle Shoals, Nashville, Mississippi, over the last four years." The album will be released in September.

Del Rey's other special guests at her Fenway Park birthday concert included Mason Ramsey, who joined for "Blue Over You," and Stephen Sanchez, who performed his viral hit "Until I Found You." The singer performed 15 songs in total, though some selections like "Ride" and "The Grants" were shortened. She closed the set with "Video Games" and the audience wrapped the night with a birthday serenade of their own.
