A Sushi and Whisky Restaurant in Las Vegas Closes
Mizunara.
A whisky and hand roll restaurant that opened along with the Sundry food hall in June of 2023 has closed. Unlike the restaurant stalls in the food hall at Uncommons, Mizunara was a full-service restaurant, with a small area of seating reserved for customers and its own bar. It closed in May along with Smitten Ice Cream.
Mizunara served rolls, sashimi, and hot appetizers. But the focus for the sushi restaurant was on handrolls. Folded in a sheet of nori, taco-style, handheld rolls were between $12 and $24 and were offered in varieties such as one with spicy tuna, avocado, and tobiko — one with crab, shrimp tempura, and eel sauce, and another of salmon, cream cheese, and cucumber. Many cocktails were made with Japanese whisky and the bar offered whisky flights.
Speaking of Uncommons
Amari Italian Kitchen & Wine Shop has introduced a new prix-fixe lunch menu and grab-and-go options, now available Friday through Sunday from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
A prix fixe lunch option is $29 per person and includes one starter — like salad, arancini, or meatballs — and one main — like chicken parmesan or rigatoni. Lunch hour grab-and-go selections at the counter include three different pizzas, available as a half or whole pie, two salads, a sandwich, and pasta.

Dinner Returns to the Buffet
The Buffet at Bellagio, previously only open for brunch, is serving dinner every Saturday and Sunday until 8 p.m. through summer. It’s launching a new seafood station with chilled and hot seafood including crab legs, tuna poke, ceviche, assorted sushi, jumbo lump crab salad, miso seabass, and clam steamers. The buffet is $79.99 per person and an all-you-can-drink package is available for $28.99.
Table 34 Suspends Lunch Service
Table 34 announced that it will suspend its breakfast and lunch service to focus solely on serving dinner Monday through Saturday from 4 to 9 p.m., starting June 24. The restaurant has been serving for more than 20 years. In late 2022, Evan Glusman — the operating manager of Piero’s Italian Cuisine — and Constantin Alexander of Batch Hospitality acquired the restaurant. “Our commitment to providing our guests with nothing short of excellence remains unchanged, and this transition allows us to introduce an exciting lineup of new specials that we’re sure you’ll love,” say the owners.
Chinatown Welcomes a New Cafe
Suzuya Patisserie, a destination for delicately decorated Japanese-style cakes in southwest Las Vegas, has opened a new cafe. Suzuya Cafe in Chinatown is now open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 3500 Wynn Road. It will have a grand opening on July 6.
