Browns RB Nick Chubb Injury Update: Returning Soon?
The Cleveland Browns and their fans have been anticipating this season all spring. The addition of receiver Jerry Jeudy to help open up the offense has added to the excitement almost as much as Deshaun Watson is on track to return by training camp 100 percent healthy and ready to play.
Unfortunately, the news on running back Nick Chubb isn’t as good. Chubb sat out and only worked on his rehab for mandatory minicamp. He has started running but is still being held back by medical due to the severity of the injury to his leg last season.

“Chubb – who did not participate in any drills during the final mandatory off-season practice,” BrownsNation said, “appears likely to become a late-season addition for Cleveland.”
That’s certainly disappointing to hear, especially when you see clips of Watson on the field tossing the ball 50+ yards downfield. The thought of both of these stars together in the backfield for an extended period of time is enough to start talking about a potential, first-ever Super Bowl run for the Brownies.
But alas, the two won’t share the backfield for the entire season unless something drastic changes. With training camp six weeks away, Chubb continues to rehab his knee with the hopes of returning sooner rather than later.
We will get our first look when training camp opens on July 22.
