Ricky Stenhouse Jr. recaps top-five run at Iowa
Frankie Stenhouse, junior and the number 47 with a top five here at Iowa. You guys busy weekend, but strategy played into your favorite. You also some some solid racing out there on the racetrack. What more do you need to go after a win tonight? I needed to be just a little bit tighter. I felt like the two tire call was fine, you know, but our car got a little too loose there. You know, we got into second and I was hoping it would kind of tighten up for me, you know, once I cleared the 24 and, you know, maybe we could go after the 12, but it just kind of kept building a little too loose. And then, you know, at that point I kind of reset and was like, all right, let's just make sure we run a, you know, top five here. So our and also need to drink team did a fantastic job on strategy on pit Rd. and you know, the car was phenomenal. I was able to pass a lot of race cars. We went to the back twice, so that was pretty cool. On a new repave, you know, you can't ask for much more. Little spark, a lie for this 47 crew. What do you guys do through these next coming weeks to get this team back into the playoffs? Yeah, I think for us, I mean, we're going to need a win, obviously. So, you know, we'll try and take advantage of that at at those race tracks we feel we're capable of. And you know, I'm not going to lie my eyes kind of got big there for a second when I got into second. I knew the 12 had been good all day. But, you know, I felt good when I battled past the 22 and 24 and, you know, just, yeah, it wasn't meant to be tonight, but solid run for us. And hopefully we can, you know, keep building off of this. Thanks, Ricky. Thank you.
