SEOUL, June 17 (Yonhap) -- BTS leader RM shared his reflections on Weverse after stepping outside during his military service for the first time in a while.

He noted, "After a long time, I stepped out (of the base) and realized that time flows differently outside." RM is currently serving in the military and marked the group's 11th debut anniversary.

He expressed a mix of emotions upon observing that life goes on as usual despite his absence, which left him with a sense of emptiness. However, RM found solace in reuniting with his fellow BTS members, especially during a gathering where they openly shared their thoughts and feelings over drinks.

RM specifically mentioned attending Jin's discharge ceremony on June 12th, where he performed a heartfelt saxophone rendition to celebrate Jin's return. Reflecting on this, he shared his concern about Jin's experience of being the first to enlist and endure the solitary aspects of military life. RM related this to his own journey, highlighting the universal challenges of the 18-month service period.

RM also conveyed how Jin often spoke about missing the members, a sentiment RM deeply resonates with now that he is living apart from them. This reunion reaffirmed to RM the unchanged bonds among the members and reminded him of where he belongs and who he is.

Looking ahead, RM wondered about the future, anticipating their 12th anniversary next year, and expressed his longing and anticipation for their reunion. He also entrusted Jin and J-Hope, who will be discharged sooner, with the responsibility of maintaining their connection with fans.

RM is set to complete his military service in June next year, and BTS plans to resume group activities once all members have fulfilled their military duties. RM concluded by expressing gratitude for the continued support from fans and promised to cherish each day while thinking of his members and fans, looking forward to reuniting next summer.
