England captain Harry Kane was seen clutching a special memento after leading his side to a nervy 1-0 win against Serbia in their opening game of Euro 2024 on Sunday night.

Jude Bellingham's 13th-minute goal was enough to get Gareth Southgate's men over the line in Gelsenkirchen as the Three Lions moved top of Group C.

After securing the three points, Kane went over to the stands to celebrate with his wife, Kate, and several other family members.

As Kane arrived to greet them, one young family member whipped out a Polaroid camera and convinced the striker to get a snap with Kate.

The 30-year-old was more than happy to oblige, and then held the resulting photo in his left hand as he posed for another picture.

He continued to chat with Kate after picking up his memento, and they even took their own selfie, with Kane appearing in a relaxed mood following an important win for his team.

Kane - along with the photo - returned to England's training base late on Sunday night as attention now turns to their second group game against Denmark on Thursday.

Under Southgate, England have now won all four of their opening games at major tournaments, and they are in a strong position to qualify for the knockout stages in Germany.

Jamie Carragher insists Harry Kane's role must be changed for England to win Euro 2024

But questions have been raised over Southgate's use of Kane against Serbia after he touched the ball just twice in the first half.

While Bellingham flourished in midfield, Kane struggled to get involved, and Jamie Carragher believes England must tweak their tactics to get the best out of their talisman if they are to go all the way at the tournament.

'Kane is a multi-tasking, modern centre forward who was reduced to one-dimension during the 1-0 win over Serbia,' Carragher wrote in his column for The Telegraph on Monday morning.

'If Southgate persists with the same system for the rest of the tournament, their No 9 will be heavily compromised. Possibly too much.'

Kane has started tournaments slowly in the past, failing to score in the group stages of the last Euros and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

After a quiet opening game, Southgate will hope Kane can find his best form quickly to guide England to tournament glory over the coming weeks.
