Antonio Pierce's message to the team following minicamp

The Las Vegas Raiders have concluded their 2024 minicamp, which means the next stop for the team is Costa Mesa, California for training camp starting July, 19. Before that happens the players will have time off, head coach Antonio Pierce offered some wisdom for that time.
Pierce being an NFL player himself, and Super Bowl champion knows a thing or two about how to handle the down time during the year. It's now on the players to take their time away from the game and address whatever they made need to before they report on July, 19.
One interesting thing to note is that the Raiders still have not named a starting quarterback, the competition between Aidan O'Connell and Gardner Minshew will continue into training camp. The Raiders never put a date on when the competition would end, then again why should they, all we know is it'll be before week 1.... hopefully.
I say all that to emphasize the fact that this "down time" may not be down time for all O'Connell and Minshew are both competing for a job that neither of them have. This break for them will be more along the lines of a break in school the week before finals, they have a lot of studying in their future.
