Bills WR Comeback Player of the Year Candidate Next Season?
The Buffalo Bills needed offensive reinforcements after Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis left this offseason, and added Washington Commanders receiver Curtis Samuel in free agency to help address the receiving corps.
Not seen as a genuine No. 1 receiver that the Bills now crave, Samuel has still shown that when healthy, he can be a consistent contributor on offense, having averaged around 60 receptions and 600 yards in his last two seasons in Washington.
But now, in a new environment and one could say "better" offensive setup, Samuel could see a serious uptick in production. That has led CBS Sports to pick Curtis as a comeback candidate for Buffalo.

"Samuel's hardly been a second-round bust in the NFL. And, heck, he began his time as a professional receiver less than a month after his 21st birthday back in 2017, which in NFL years is like four decades ago," CBS Sports writes.
Having perhaps the best quarterback he's played with in his career, there is every chance that Samuel could improve on his 2023 numbers with Josh Allen throwing him the football.
Additionally, with a receiver-by-committee approach, Samuel, if he produces from Day 1, could see his fair share of targets as well. While Samuel has never "dominated" the league in any given year, he is consistent in approaching the game, which shows on the field.
If Buffalo gets 60+ receptions and 600+ yards from Samuel in his first year, that will be a pass mark. But if Allen looks his way often, we may see Samuel's production go to a level we haven't seen before.
And if it does, then his "comeback" will be complete.
