88 days until kickoff: Every Minnesota Vikings player to wear 88

The Minnesota Vikings are entering their own version of the Final Countdown.

The 2024 season is upon us and the excitement is palpable. As we get through the offseason, everyone wants to see quarterback J.J. McCarthy in a Vikings uniform. It will signal a new era in Vikings football for many reasons.

General manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and head coach Kevin O'Connell are entering their third seasons in control of the Vikings and it's crunch time. They now have the team shaped in their image and it's going to be pivotal for their future to be successful in the next two seasons.

With 88 days until kickoff, here’s a look at every player to wear No. 88 with the Vikings (via Pro Football Reference):

Every Minnesota Vikings player to wear No. 88

Maye was a replacement player for the Vikings and he caught one pass for 22 yards in three starts.

WR Buster Rhymes 1985-1986

Rhymes played in 20 games for the Vikings and averaged 25.1 yards per kick return.

TE Don Hasselbeck 1984

The dad of quarterbacks Matt and Tim, Don spent nine years in the NFL and just one season with the Vikings, his second to last in the NFL. He caught just one pass for 10 yards as a Viking.

WR Mardye McDole 1981-1983

The Vikings selected McDole in the second round of the 1981 NFL Draft and he played all three of his seasons with the Vikings. He didn't catch any passes but he did return 12 kicks for 196 yards.

DT Alan Page 1967-1978
