Former Miss Ireland Holly Carpenter has announced her engagement to long-term boyfriend Jamie Hunt.
The Dubliner shared the happy news in an Instagram post, revealing Jamie popped the question while on an early morning walk last Friday at Poolbeg Lighthouse.
The 32-year-old wrote: "10/05/24. Our most special sunrise stroll. Here’s to forever", alongside a photo of Jamie down on one knee by the seafront proposing to her with the couple’s rescue dog Max pictured in the middle of the action.
Model Pamela Uba, podcaster Jenny Claffey and stylist Clementine MacNeice were among those who showered the couple with congratulations.
Former Miss Ireland Holly confirmed her relationship with Cork native Jamie two years ago after meeting online and getting together during lockdown.
In an interview with the Irish Examiner in 2022, the Dubliner spoke about her relationship with Jamie, who she has been dating for four years.
"He has seen me at my worst— definitely—and my best, so I don’t feel like I have to have any kind of guard up with him or pretend I’m okay," she said.
"He has a really calming effect on me. I know that there is no judgement or anything so I do feel like I can really talk to him about what is going on."
