Rain on the way to start the week
OK. Well, we have had a pretty decent day across the GTA, all things considered. It was a little breezy earlier today, but I mean taking a look out there right now from where cameras are stationed at Riverdale E, it is a nice close to Mother's Day, not nearly as windy as we had originally expected right around this time. So that's great. Let's show you some information about the Northern Lights. Friday was incredible. If you had a view of that, it was. It was breathtaking. And if you missed it, while we have a chance for you to see it tonight, we have high geomagnetic activity. There's a lot of stuff going on way, way, way up in just kind of in the universe. And it is all part of those solar winds and the geomagnetic activity that just kind of leads to the auroras being visible at this point. So we have a high index of seven, that KP index that tells us how strong those views are going to be. And best views come before 3:00 AM. Avoid light pollution. If you're up towards Lake Simcoe or around Fenland Falls, Bob Cajun, you've got a beautiful view of it. Let's show you where temperatures are headed tonight. Temperatures will probably really be in the low teens for most areas. Not all that cool tonight, but then we take you into tomorrow. Temperatures will get up into the, let's call them low 20s for most of the areas. Some of these temperatures just a little bit underdone, but All in all, still quite comfortable as we go into Monday. But the temperatures are fine. It's just that the rain is going to make things a little more. Active, shall we say, Let's show you where the rains headed. So by early tomorrow morning, by five, 6:00, we'll have some of that rain moving through. It will be steady at times too. Watch as we take you to about 910 o'clock, very scattered in nature. It'll get its act together for the afternoon as we head toward the drive home. And then here comes some of those showers, especially as we go into the evening hours. That's where we could have some pretty steady downpours. The seven day forecast shows you rain for Monday and Tuesday and then we'll dry things out for Wednesday and Thursday. Up to produce some nice days there and then another chance for showers as we go into Friday and Saturday. But all you notice temperatures not changing all that much will be in the upper teens to low 20s. We'll have another look at that forecast coming up in just a little bit.
