Qenos closure 'extremely troubling' for Orica
Orica Chief Executive Sanjeev Gandhi is worried for the future of the Australian-based company, Orica.
Orica is the world’s biggest commercial explosives company and manufacturer of cyanide used for gold extraction.
Recently, the chemical manufacturing company Qenos closed down which, like Orica, used gas as a raw material instead of an energy source.
Mr Gandhi told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood that the closure of Qenos was “extremely troubling”.
“It also causes an unfortunate domino effect. There are suppliers who supply to Qenos and there are Qenos customers who buy from Qenos and all get impacted.
