Labor govt's plan to upgrade submarines is 'extremely complicated' and 'crazily expensive'
Strategic Analysis Australia Director Michael Shoebridge says the government’s plan to upgrade their submarine fleet is “extremely complicated” and “crazily expensive”.

“The big issues are crewing, but also when you’re trying to upgrade these Collins-class submarines … you’ve got to scoop out everything inside them: the sonars, the combat systems, the electronics, the propulsion system.” Mr Shoebridge told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“Put a new submarine inside the old shell.
