'Hard to tell' if interest rate hikes will be in 'next few months or later this year'

Judo Bank Chief Economic Advisor Warren Hogan says “rate hikes” still likely.

This follows questions about whether the RBA will lift interest rates over the next few months in response to the federal budget.

“The main view is that the next move in rates will be up. There still is a couple of rate hikes requires before we can guarantee inflation is back to 2-3 per cent,” Mr Hogan told Sky News Business Reporter Ed Boyd.
