‘Dying to get out of that place’: Iranian society ‘deeply divided’
Curtin University Dean of Global Future Joe Siracusa says Iranian society is “deeply divided”.
“We of course have inflationary problems there, their dollar has collapsed, there are all these people who are dying to get out of the place,” Mr Siracusa told Sky News Australia.
His comments come after a helicopter carrying Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has been involved in an accident in the north of the country.
