Hazaribagh is a parliamentary constituency in Jharkhand. In 2019, Hazaribagh parliamentary constituency had total 16,67,465 electors. Total number of valid vote was 10,80,929. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Jayant Sinha won and became MP from this seat.
He secured total 7,28,798 votes. Indian National Congress candidate Gopal Prasad Sahu stood second with total 249250 votes. He lost by 4,79,548 votes.
Th BPJ has benched outgoing MP Jayant Sinha and named 58-year-old Jaiswal, a two-time MLA from hazaribagh (Sadar), to take the electoral plunge this time.
INDIA bloc, on the other hand, has pitted BJP turncoat, Jai Prakash Bhai Patel, as its joint candidate after he joined Congress. The election to the Hazaribagh seat is scheduled to take place on May 20.
